Redefining the same document multiple times through different include paths

Consider the following scenario:

Schema A  includes    B  redefines C

                 redefines   C

 

If A and B redefine C in different ways, which should take precedence? 

If they are not conflicting redefinitions, should the redefinitions from
both be merged? 

 

I could not find a pointer in the spec that discussess this situation.
