Hi all, 8-) this is to inform you that the XMLP WG has decided to close the issue #163 [1] with the resolution proposed in [2]. Summary of the issue: the id attribute used in SOAP Encoding is not the real XML 1.0 type ID, therefore applications have to deal with this explicitly. Summary of the resolution: in resolution to issue 186 we have agreed to add the description of constraints on the id and ref attributes which makes us independent of XML Schema or DTD processing. This does indeed mean that applications will probably get little support from existing XML processing libraries.
