I agree that mid: (or uuid:) is good for *private absolute* namespaces,
those that are guaranteed unique across the net.universe.

My intention in bringing up data: was to help create *private local*
namespaces.  The idea is that "data:,x" is suitable as a namespace
that you know won't leak out of this document.
