Problem reading XML version of XML standard with XML-aware Internet Explorer 5

Dear xml-editor,

In document:

    http://www.w3.org/TR/1998/REC-xml-19980210

you refer to the xml version:

    http://www.w3.org/TR/1998/REC-xml-19980210.xml

However, when you click on that (using MS IE5, most recent patched
version), IE5 reports:
---begin
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The system cannot locate the resource specified. Error processing resource 'spec.dtd'. Line 45, Position 3

]>
---end

This is probably due to the fact that file "spec.dtd" in missing in the
same directory where REC-xml-19980210.xml itself is located?

Kind regards,

Eric Maryniak

Real programmers programs never work right the first time.
But if you throw them on the machine they can be patched into working
in only a few 30-hours debugging sessions.
