Public SRW Service at Index Data

Hi,

we're pleased to announce an SRW version 1.0 service.
The service is a gateway to traditional Z39.50 targets, and
converts CQL to Type-1 queries - returns MARC records as OAI XML.

We expect to make the software used for this service, freely
available in the near future.

People on the ZNG list have already tested a previous version of
this service and have succesfully used it using clients based on:
 Apache Axis (Java)
 Microsoft Web services (C#).
 MOOSOAP (Python)
 SOAP::Lite (Perl)
 gSOAP (C/C++)

The gateway itself is based on gSOAP.
