2.3.1.1 - Axes

The first bullet point contains no definition of what a child is to allow the 
second bullet point to state **thus** there are no attribute or namespace 
nodes in the descendant axis.

I suggest that either the first bullet point contains a definition of the 
child axis as a "hook" for the "thus" in the second bullet point or that the 
second bullet point is rephrased in some way.
