I think, an attribute is rather a property of a node than an child of a
node. Therfore the element to which an attribute is attached should not be
considered as the parent.

Otherwise descendant should provide all attributes not only the child nodes.

I do not believe that it is necessary to navigate from an attribute to the
related node.
