Hello,

I request that future documents describing XHTML clearly state wether
conformant XHTML user agents must, may or must not interpret the
xml-stylesheet processing instruction.

Currently, I interpret "the story" as this:
* The XML recommendation itself doesn't contain any style information.
* The "Associating style sheets with XML..." recommendation declares the
xml-stylesheet processing instruction to be used for associating style
sheets with XML documents.
* The XHTML recommendations define XHTML as an XML application, and, some of
them, define a <link/> element, which can be used for associating style
sheets with XHTML documents in the form of <link rel="stylesheet"/>.

I interpret it the following way:
A user agent which is capable of XHTML and XML, and which interprets the
stylesheet processing instruction for xml documents, also must interpret the
stylesheet processing instruction for xhtml documents since xhtml documents
are xml documents.

But I request clearification of that subject through the W3.

Any comments?

Greetings

Christian Hujer
