The Note at the end of section 2.6.1.3 seems both misplaced and
irrelevant. The same applies to the similar notes in 2.6.2 and 2.6.4. The
general effect of these notes is to make the reader ask "Why are they telling
me not to worry about this? Is there something I've missed?".
