RE: Equality of items of different numeric types

Take a look at the XPath/XQuery functions and operators spec available
at:

http://www.w3.org/XML/Group/xsl-query-specs/xquery-operators/xquery-oper
ators.html

This considers equality of all the XML Schema types. We can have a chat
after you have had a

chance to look at the spec.

All the best, Ashok

Per Henry Thompson's request on xmlschema-dev@w3.org please find
attached for your consideration an e-mail and paper regarding this
subject that I prepared for the latest release of the XBRL
specification.

This is substantially what I expect be included in the public working
draft of the next XBRL specification update due to be released in the
next few days.

Thanks for your consideration
