In Chapter 4 of the XLink Rec the second sentence reads: "Link markup needs to be recognized reliably by XLink applications in order to be traversed and handled properly." Taken at face value the sentence says that "link markup" is to be "traversed". Chapter 2 indicates that it is an arc that it is traversed. I suggest that the quoted sentence be edited in some way. Perhaps to read, "Link markup needs to be recognized reliably by XLink applications in order for arcs to be traversed properly." or "Link markup needs to be recognized reliably by XLink applications in order for links to be handled properly." Or perhaps simply delete the sentence since its likely meanings (once corrected) don't say anything that isn't already pretty obvious. Andrew WattReceived on Saturday, 9 March 2002 16:21:54 GMT
