technical doubts in XLL

dear sir/madam,

    I am shankar working in Infoscience Technology (M) in malaysia as a software consultant. I am using XML for the past 6 months. In our company we are doing an project on XML also. 

I am having some doubts in XLL. I tried with the sample mentioned in www.w3.org/tr/xlink but it is not working. it shows the error in the namespaces of the link. Do we need to update the namespace link as the new version. If i am using IE5.0 what namespace link should i want to use. Can u give me an example of bidirectional link and the implementation of these links in the real time applications.
