DOM Level 1 Infoset compliance

In the 20-Dec-1999 XML Infoset WD, section 1 (Introduction), the
third note reads:

] Note: To the best of the editors' knowledge and belief, the interface
] specified by the Document Object Model, Level 1 Core Recommendation
] [DOM] conforms to the XML Information Set as currently specified.

I don't think so; DOM Level 1 was before XML Namespaces.

Arguably one *could* calculate the namespace URIs, given a DOM-1
Document object. But DOM-1 doesn't really "provide" that info.
