picture of the functions that are supported. They should be both revised.> A

Resolution - Editorial - some text to be merged 

On this one I found myself thinking that the intro could perhaps be improved
BUT I think the proposals made by Denis are somewhat clearer in some
respects but are also wrong.

So basically I think we can move ahead without making changes here unless
someone wants to volunteer to do a rewrite.
