Primer text for F&P

Here is a first cut at the F&P primer text, using a security feature as
an example (since security was mentioned as an eventual goal in the
introduction).  Apologies for the lateness of this submission, folks.
I'm happy to work with Kevin (and David too for a short while :( ) to
make whatever changes are necessary to get this whipped into final form.
