Summary of the state of the WSDL WG from this morning's call [1]: No firm consensus yet on whether this WG would develop MTOM descriptive capabilities (policy assertion, extension, or both) if the XMLP WG declines to accept this topic. There is so far a majority willing to adopt this task, but not everyone has determined their position, or made their preferences known, yet. Canon requires a wsdl extension (a policy assertion in addition is acceptable), and in a timely manner. We also broached the topic of Patent Policy implications of doing this work in the XMLP WG or in the WSDL WG, which quickly scared everyone away ;-).
