Subject: [OASIS members] OASIS Cosponsors the Forum on Security
Standards for Web Services, 26 August, Boston

OASIS and W3C will cosponsor the Forum on Security Standards for Web
services on Monday, 26 August at XML Web Services One in Boston,
http://www.xmlconference.com/boston/key.asp. Attendees will gain greater
understanding of the relationship between security standards currently
being developed at W3C and OASIS, and receive insights on future work,
connects, disconnects, overlap and synchronicity. The forum will answer
such questions as; Why are security standards necessary for web
services? How do the pieces fit together? An overview of the following
security standards will be presented; XML Digital Signature, XML
Encryption, WS Security, SAML, IETF SSL, BEEP, FASL, Kerberos, XKMS and
XACML. Experts will present case studies from various industries that
use security standards for web services.
