The 3rd International Conference of Service Oriented Computing
(ICSOC'05) follows on the success of two previous editions in New York
City, USA (2004) and Trento, Italy (2003), and aims at consolidating as
the main reference conference for service oriented computing and web
services, by covering the entire spectrum from theoretical and
foundational results to empirical evaluations as well as practical and
industrial experiences.  

This year, the International Program Committee selected 32 long  
papers, 15 short papers and 13 demonstration papers. 

There are two half-day tutorials planned.

(1) Opportunities for Service Oriented Architecture in Telecom Industry
    Nilanjan Banerjee, Motorola India Research Lab, Bangalore, India
    Dipanjan Chakraborty, and Amit Anil Nanavati, 
    IBM Research Lab, New Delhi, India

(2) WS-Agreement Concepts, Use and Implementation
    Heiko Ludwig, IBM Watson Research Center
    Toshiyuki Nakata, NEC Corporation

A panel discussion on "Service Oriented Architectures: Are they realistic?" 
and three keynote presentations from the field leaders are part
of the highlights in the program. 

ICSOC program also includes five workshops in the following areas;
(1) Dynamic Web Processes - DWP '05
(2) Design of Service-Oriented Applications - WDSOC '05
(3) Engineering Service Compositions - WESC '05
(4) Mediation in Semantic Web Services - MEDIATE '05
(5) Service-Oriented Business Processes Integration - SOBPI '05
