hi

heres the source code for the current version of my validation program
...

i have tested it on aix, linux, netbsd, digital unix and sunos so i
guess
it should be fairly portable ...

i also included two sample xml files and 3 log file fragments (one
riddled
with errors) ... the xml format ended up being quite complicated but i
included a full dtd with the sample files, and i put in some basic
explanations in the readme ...

im aiming to finish patching together the xml creator (which has to be
changed now to match the xml format) into the repository by friday ...

its not critical to look at the program ... but if you want to make any
comments, those will be most appreciated. the xml format ive resorted to
(for reasons of specification flexibility) may be interesting by itself.
