I am pleased to announce that the 9th Working Draft of the State Chart
eXtensible Markup Language (SCXML) has just been published.

SCXML is a general-purpose event-based state machine language that
can be used in many ways. It can be used as a meta-language for
voice dialog applications, and also as a controller for database
access and business applications. There are various SCXML
implementations including Apache Commons SCXML [1] and QT State
Machine Framework [2].
