If that it really what is says, the validator needs a damned good
workover.  Surely the authors must realise the need to separate
the prose from the notions discussed :  for that diagnostic to make
sense to the average reader, it requires additional punctuation
as in (e.g.,) :

Line 145, Column 42: Attribute 'type' not allowed on element <textarea>
at this point.
