"Validated" icons

I am aware that your policy generally forbids modifying the HTML/CSS
validation icons before posting them on a webpage.

However, I find that the existing color schemes for these icons break
the thematic design of my pages, and therefore request permission to
make exactly one modification: May I create and use *grayscale*
(black-and-white) versions of these icons?
