can't locate XML/LibXML.pm

Hello Mailing-List,

during the installation guide, when I test the validator script with the 
command

../check uri=http://www.w3.org/

, I  get error messages like

Can't locate XML/LibXML.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl 
/usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.0 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0 etc.) at ./check 
line 64.

But this file is under 
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.9/i686-linux/XML/LibXML.pm

So, how do I get this path in @INC?

Anyone can help please?
