The best way is to go forward once you decide to change something,
make something what is next level. Its waste of energy to try to
redo/copy own (or the other peoples) work.

Anyway the easiest way to avoid frames and to do it with minimal steps
is to go with server side scripting and those elements in frames
define as variables. then include them depending on the "view" you
render.

Good advice is to read something about MVC (model view controller) approach.
