In other words you have some "<tag" without ">"
before the "<param ... />" in XHTML:

>         <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
> data="pics/logo.swf" width="800" height="335"
>         <param name="movie" value="pics/logo.swf" />
>         </object>

Try to add a ">" before "<param ... />".  Bye, Frank
