If you have now <h1>...abc...<hr />...xyz...</h1> you could try
<h1>...abc...</h1><hr /><h2>...xyz...</h2>.  Or maybe test this
<h1>...abc...</h1><hr /><h2><big>...xyz...</big></h2>  Bye.
