The validator is indeed about 1/10th as fast as it was before the new 
release this week. I depend highly on this most valuable service, and 
can't express my appreciation enough to W3.

Since Monday's note from Lars Penguinmaster, has anyone uncovered any 
reason for why the validator has become so slow?
