Are you using an XHTML DTD?

No version of HTML has included LEFTMARGIN or TOPMARGIN attributes in
any combination of case. They are unofficial and proprietary extensions
which should be avoided. The same effect can be achieved more easily,
and with better browser support, using CSS.
