Bug in W3 Validator?

The file http://BoDD.cf.ac.uk/LinksToBoDD.html
does not check out as valid html because the Validator finds an error within
a url linking to another site. Specifically, LinksToBoDD.html contains a
link at line 30 to Google, which the Validator finds unacceptable.  Is there
a way of making the Validator distinguish between a url and the html in a
document?
