Hello www-validator list, I don't have a small patch or idea, but a bug. The validator (http://validator.w3.org) seems to have problems with sub directories. It validates http://thequod.de/index.htm, but not http://thequod.de/t/index.htm, where there is the same index.htm which gets the same Content-type header through PHP.
