bug or feature?

when validating the following fragment :

<table>
  <tr><td><font blah="1">test</font></td></tr>
  <tr><td><font blah="1">test</font></td></tr>
</table>

validator only spots the 'no attribute "blah" for this element ..'  error 
once .. the second (and subsequent) errors are ignored (or in my case about 
40 of them ... :)

is that intentional or a bug then?
