Re: Trouble....document type

Thank you both so much for responding, was beginning to lose heart! <g>

The message on previous doctype irregularity is no longer appearing, I
havn't changed anything, am now getting message re no charactor encoding
detected on all pages, but no mention of Doctype.

This URL: was cleared before validator updating:

This URL was entered for validation over the updating period which
became more demanding:
http://www.grandane.com/Thorne/index.html

All originally received doctype error but as stated above, message has
now changed although my original format is still in place?
