Hello: Could someone explain, in layperson's terms, if using <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> is preferred over <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> If so, why? I have tried reading some of the reference material at the W3C, Microsoft and AllHTML, but it's beyond my comprehension.
