Subject: Timeout, concurrency or intermediate result for checklink

    Dear Link Checkers,

It would be extremely useful if one could specify a timeout limit on
http://validator.w3.org/checklink after which the checker gives up on a
link and proceeds with the next. In documents with hundreds of links,
there are always at least five machine not responding, which blocks the
status reporting for the entire remaining list of URLs.

Alternatively, if links were checked concurrently, the validator could
show after some finite time (around 30-60 seconds) an intermediate
result of the links for which a result has been obtained so far, and
could then continue to retry the ones that haven't replied yet.

Excellent and very useful service otherwise!

    Cheers,

    Markus
