OK, I took out the ones I didn't know what they did....and made them all
lowercase....are they OK now? It validates, but I want to make sure,
cause it validated before, when that guy from this list told me they
    were wrong.

Oh, and I added the ascii charset meta tag...but I have a question...is
this gonna mess up my pages that show html example codes where I use <
    and > tags?

    Subject: meta question

First of all, is this the correct list for this question, and if not,
can someone tell me who might be able to help me?

     OK, questions:
Are meta tags allowed in HTML 4.01?
What meta attributes are allowed in HTML 4.01?
If my meta tags are incorrect, can someone help me correct them?
What does this page do (I found it after searching w3.org):
    http://www.w3.org/Search/9605-Indexing-Workshop/ReportOutcomes/Robots.txt
    ?
Do I need to use a similar page for my own site somehow, and if so, how
is it called, and where do I put it?

Someone on this list told me my meta tags were incorrect, and yet never
did tell me how to correct them, could some PLEASE help me correct my
mistakes? I have once again spent hours digging through the w3 site and
have yet to find any useful info on meta tags.

     The page in question is:
    http://www.seething13.com

(I KNOW I need to make them all lower-case, but other than that, what
    else is wrong with them?)
