Addendum to my previous reply to a message from carole@designs.com relating
to Browsers and User Agents:

Darn it, Carole, I am becoming forgetful in my old age!

I meant to include the following definitions extracted from "official"
documents in my reply -- for general information:

From the ISO-HTML Specification .....

4.1 Browser
A user agent whose main function is to present documents to a user.

From the W3C HTML 4.0 (repeated for HTML 4.01) Recommendation .....

HTML user agent
An HTML user agent is any device that interprets HTML documents. User agents
include visual browsers (text-only and graphical), non-visual browsers
(audio, Braille), search robots, proxies, etc.

From the W3C XHTML 1.0 Recommendation .....

User Agent
A user agent is an implementation that retrieves and processes XHTML
documents. See User Agent Conformance for more information.
