Hello,

Despite e-mails by many users including myself,
HTML 4.01 validated page icons have still not been updated.

What is needed appears simple: Either

1. Adding specification of file extension on the picture shown on validated
page.
Currently the picture in the URI appears without an extension and by both IE
and Netscape it is not saved as a gif file.

or

2. Using one of the gif files submitted by users who wrote to this list.

3. In any case the file should be preferably in gif format with a size less
than 1 K.

What is disturbing is that despite many user requests there appears to be
complete lack of response on the part the good people who gave us the
validator in the first place.

Isn't it reasonable to expect that they should be the first ones interested in
other people "flying" their colors with the proper image icon?

Sincerely,
Israel Hanukoglu
