Took care of this while bringing back the number of errors. The big banner still is behind the revalidate 
stuff (as it was before, even though the revalidate controls were not given in non-verbose mode), but 
the first info on the page now states whether validation passed, and the number of errors.
 
This will be in the next beta.

Note that the "new" colors were chosen by a deuteranopic person, but indeed we haven't had them 
checked against all types of color blindness yet.

Marking as fixed, reopen if the solution is not satisfactory.
