comment on the CSS validator

It would be SUPREMELY HELPFUL if, when the CSS validator points out HTML errors, it would list the file WITH LINE NUMBERS at the bottom, as the HTML validator does. When I validate an HTML file and get no errors, THEN I validate the CSS, and if I have errors, I have no list of the file to try and figure out my errors. Or, at the very least, give more information from the line itself, so it would be easier to track down what the CSS validator is talking about.

As it is, I'm stuck with a file that I can't fix, because I can't find what on earth the CSS validator is talking about in the relevant html file. (The line number the CSS validator refers to has no characters in my file.)
