characters in comments

Is there any way to have the CSS checker ignore special characters in 
(non-css) comment fields? I have a page 
(http://homepage.mac.com/calion/sisters/index.html) that validates just 
fine as XHTML, but won't validate as CSS because of characters in 
comments.
