Thank you for expressing your interest. We are in the process of organising
such a day also in the US (January 99) en Japan (maybe April 99). For the
USA meeting the location and date are most likely Portland at the 17th of
January. The following days DAVIC will have a meeting in Portland.
Maybe it is of interest to you to know that DAVIC has introduced the
observer status, that allows companies to attend one meeting, without being
member. You might want to make use of that option. As I don't know if your
company is a DAVIC member at the moment. I think more details can be found
on our Website, or obtained via the DAVIC secretariat
(secretariat@davic.org).

Dear Mr. Koster,
Glad to receive your invitation for the one day seminar on DAVIC. I went
through your program and it seems that the seminar will cover lot of
informative materials on DAVIC and It is really attractive. It will also
help the MPEG people and the people from similar organisations who do not
participate in DAVIC meetings. Sooner or later most of us have to know DAVIC
specifications to some extent. It will be difficult for the people from USA
to fly to Geneva with high cost of air-ticket for one day seminar.
It would be really great if you can arrange a similar seminar (may be
two-day) somewhere in USA. I am sure lot of people will be interested to
attend such a seminar.
Also I received an email from Mr. Franco Vitaliano on this seminar to be
held on May 12, 1999 which conflicts with yours. Please clarify.
