MTBE values, "Lel Bruce Peto" informing, have a softer value than the 
outgoing month but demand is still strong, sources note. The market was 
illiquid with sources pegging Gulf Coast MTBE spot prices at a wide range 
of $1.11-$1.15.  New York differentials have been 4cts over the Gulf Coast 
for more than a week. L.A. differentials have dropped from a lofty 14-15cts 
over the Gulf Coast to just 8.5cts, as of 10-31..
