SMB Filesystem as standard URL?

As i've seen the andrew Filesystem reference is included to the
spec of URL. Is there anybody doing the same for the 
Lanmanager Protocol Filesystem, especialy SMB.
A public implemetation of handling this protocol is SAMBA.

I would sugest something like:
	
	smb://hostname/path

Just an idea ...
