Eight national organisations, brought together by Knowledge Exchange
present three reports investigating the establishment of a persistent
identifier infrastructure connecting various partners and systems.
As internet resources are being moved, they can no longer be traced.
Having persistent links to these resources is of great importance for
the citation, retrieval and preservation of cultural and scientific
resources. A persistent identifier infrastructure is needed to support
these persistent links to materials.
