Well what I gave was just a colloquial description, but even so I
didn't say what the case would be if the subject were neither Tool nor
Document.

To really get it to work, you'd presumably need to use a literal
anyway, so the model would be a bit different. And there may be other
considerations.

Remember too that this solution was devised before the TAG finding.
