It's good (ongoing) work IMO. http://whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#parsing It only goes so far as specifying the construction of the (HTML) DOM from an octet stream and doesn't concern itself with XHTML. But it addresses the hard part of the transformation. Mark.
