Re: Updated agenda of TAG face-to-face meeting

I appreciate the attention in the agenda [1] to my suggestion [2] on
passwords in the clear, but for a few reasons I wonder if putting that
discussion first on Monday might be giving it more emphasis than is best.
In particular, the ideas I set out in the note you referenced are ones
that I did offer in somewhat similar form at the Vancouver F2F, and I
think it's fair to say they didn't get a lot of buy in from others. I
sent the email [2] partly as a response to the concern raised by John
Cowan [3], and also to set down the ideas for the archives. Still, I had
ample time to make the case in Vancouver, and I don't need prime time on
this agenda to do so again. I think my note made clear that I'm fine if
the rest of the TAG prefers to move ahead with the passwords in the clear
finding as it is. Of course, if other TAG members are sympathetic to my
suggestion after all, then we should discuss at some point, and we should
review other changes Ed has made.

Overall, I tend to feel that the early sessions in our meetings are
valuable, both because we're not yet tired, and because we have the
opportunity for 3 days of follow-up on any difficult questions that arise.
So, I prefer to see them used for some of the more critical or
controversial items on our agenda. My suggestion would be to schedule
discussion of my Passwords in the Clear note later in the F2F if at all.
Thanks!

Noah

All,

I have updated the agenda for the TAG f2f next week:

   http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/2006/12/11-agenda.html

I have tried to take into account every suggestion I received,
but I am still open to changes. Comments welcome.

Vincent.
