The URN UUID scheme is for Universal Unique Identifiers. as example. "urn:" indeed is a registered URI scheme, but "uuid:" isn't a registered URN namespace identifier (according to [1]). Leaving the example as it is may encourage people to make up their URN NIDs (without registering them as defined by RFC 2611), which I think is A Bad Thing.
