Even if you need SVG Animations and your favorite/target SVG
implementation doesn't support them (IE9, for example), you can still
make use of a JavaScript shim such as FakeSmile [1] to emulate them.
Filters support is probably not easy to emulate but most
implementations have at least partial support (support for IE should
be ready in IE10 [2]) everything looks great already (or in a near
future). :-)
