SVG file readability in black background.

I have personalized my system desktop to use a black background with 
turquoise text. I find this setting to be particularly useful in low 
light settings to reduce eye fatigue from too much light emitted from 
the computer screen in comparison to the environment the computer is in. 
However a side effect of this is to cause black svg elements like text 
and lines to not display. The svg file's background changes to black but 
there is no adjustment for black text or drawing elements. Could this 
functionality be added to the spec?
